"The only stumbling block i see is the PS3 price point as well as current userbase."
Exactly. The only way Sony can overcome the price point is by adevertising this game like a rabbid monkey on crack.
"can't believe its £299.. thats the same as original retail in america.."
£299=/=$399
No Fallout 3 and Persona 4? Two RPG-of-year contenders right there.
@LuvBurger
You're fogetting one game: Socom. It will give the PS3 a spike at the very least.
I agree. As a third party developer and publisher, SE did the right thing. They aren't obligated to release an exclusive game to any console. They are free to do whatever the hell they want to do.
It just sucks that we have to wait several months for the game to be launched since they intend to have a simultaneous release. The possibility of gimping the game is also present.
It doesn't help their cause that they are being so defensive all the time with regards to this topic. MS should have just played it cool and let the controversy die down. Being defensive will only fuel the conspiracy theories.
"Who would have figured the 360 would have a larger install base than the PS3 last gen?"
I did, when MS released first. I knew right away that the 360 will have a larger install base. They did outsell the COMPETITION by millions when it launched. It slowed down in it's second year though; I wonder why?
Of course the 360 is bought as a games console; it can only play DVDs. Why would anyone buy the 360 as a movie player knowing it will crap out on you one day and it's not even the best DVD player in the market?
You should hope your 360 RROD's on you just before the warranty expires. That way, you'll get a console that is less likely to break than your original one.
The thing is, MS didn't have a choice. There were talks of massive recalls had MS not offered to extend the warranty. MS would have lost the console war altogether if the recall was implemented, losing billions of dollars worth of research and development in the process.
If you think MS losing $1+Billion due to RROD repairs is bad, imagine how much money MS would lose if it had to do massive recalls within the first year it's product launched.
They've left out a few games; other than that, it's a good list.
Star Ocean 4(360 - most likely timed), NBA 09(PS3), Tekken(PS3), Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli(PS3), and some other obscure games released in Japan.
Also, a couple of games getting a re-release this year with updated contents: Unreal Tournament 3(360), Eternal Sonata(PS3), and Bioshock(PS3).
Anyone taking notes?
RIP Bruce.
They should have placed John Madden on the cover since it's the 20th anniversary. But if they really wanted to break the curse, Chuck Norris should be on the cover. Chuck Norris >> Madden Curse.
"what's cricket?"
Apperantly, an insect. It's also a name for a sport wherein you hit a ball with a wooden stick.
"These devices manipulate the values for any variables in the game, allowing you to play with infinite health, unlimited ammo, and virtually any cheat you can think of."
Chuck Norris does not need GameShark in order to do any of these.
@Bubbles
No, not yet. You are still entitled to give me bubbles. :D
Zuhk in the Gamer Zone?
The sales will either be disappointingly mediocre or ZOMG! F*cking awesome. It can only go either way.
